The men’s hockey team (14-7) defeated Albany Club 5-2 on Wednesday night. The Vikings took a 4-2 lead into the final period and added one more goal to seal the victory.
Roman Malyshev (School No. 90/Moscow, Russia) scored the first goal of the game in the opening period and Jason Heath (Alexandria Central/Alexandria Bay) added a power-play goal in the second. Ken Lancto (Schalmont/Rotterdam) had a team high three points scoring one goal and two assists. Chris Flynn (White Plains/White Plains) and Sal Cantali (Shenendehowa/Clifton Park) also chipped in a goal apiece.
The Vikings final home game of the season is Friday against RPI at 7:30 p.m.
